0.5l bottle from craft beer shop in st.petersburg. pours an opaque black with a small but steady coffee-coloured head a nice lacing. aroma of roast, licorice, coffee, oak. flavour of chocolate, wood, slight salt, soy souce. sweetish, with medium bitter finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas. Black with a tan head. Aroma of lots of olives, some roast, some hops. Sweetish-sourish flavor with roast, olives, and some bitter hops, slightly soapy. Seems infected, but could be worse.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas. Deep amber color with a big beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, a bit of toast, and mild fruity hops. Sweet flavor, with malt, caramel, a bit of toast, very bitter hops, slightly fruity, and an alcoholic note. Medium-bodied. Not enough hops in aroma and flavor, and way too malty.

Bottle (shared at koht, thanks). Pours black. Aroma is smoke, peat, manor, roast, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, smoke, peat, dark chocolate. Finish is roast bitter. Overall: rather good.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the new LiBira brewpub. Thanks Stas. Very dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma of roast, yeast, lots of of soap, some dark fruits. Sweetish and mildly sour flavor with yeast, roast, soap, a bit of caramel, fruitiness. Medium-bodied, over-carbonated. Not so good, quite amateurish.

pours hazy amber colour with a stable creamy head and a nice lacing. sweet fruity aroma, passionfruit. flavour orange marmalade with biscuity malts and caramel underneath.
