«Василеостровская Пивоварня» - одна из старейших частных пивоварен г. Санкт-Петербурга. История началась с любви к пиву, когда в 2002 году мы решили сварить вкусное пиво, отличное от того, что по тем временам было представлено в магазинах.

Таким образом, на Васильевском Острове на свет появился наш первый сорт – «ВАСИЛЕОСТРОВСКОЕ Домашнее». Сваренный однажды для единственного ресторана сорт, настолько пришёлся по вкусу публике, что это положило начало нашей истории, длиной в десятилетия!

750ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a big foamy white head. Aroma is banana, yeast, spices. Taste is malt, caramel, fruit.

(Keg at HBF2016) The beer poured deep dark red and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had sweet cherry juice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, cherries and cherry jam. Aftertaste was sweet. A sweet cherry juice.

Tap at HBF2016. Hazy yellow color, good white head. Grassy, fruity aroma. Light-bodied. Belgian yeast, sweetish, honeyish. Watery and simple.

Tap at HBF2016. Amber brown color, small off-white head. Caramel, grass in the nose. Medium-bodied. Caramel sweetness, light grassy notes. Light alcohol. Simple.

375ml bottle, about a month past before before date. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is port, coffee, brown sugar. Taste is roasted malts, port, acidity. Don’t think it is supposed to taste like this.

500ml bottle. Presumably this once replaces Vasileostrovskoe Red Ale since they both have the same barcode. Pours amber with no head. Aroma of caramel and hops. Taste is malty, caramel. Dry finish.

500ml bottle. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of instant coffee and roasted malts. Unlike the first edition there is no sourness in the taste. Taste is bitter and watery with a lot of coffee. Meh.
