Dog Days of Summer Gathering thanks GOT. handbottled. golden-orange pour, thin white head. nose keeps a moderate wood approach along with hops and some tropical fruits, tangy orange. wood profile is mild. light citrus, honey sweetness, prickly/spiced mouthfeel along with some tropical fruits. Palate keeps a nice dry-hopped profile although the overall aspect along with the barrel aging made made for a low carbonation with mostly wood barrel and prickly mouthfeel coming through. Barrel aging works well on this one.

Aroma was sweet with maple and sweet bread with a bit of funk and light fruit underlying. Flavor was sweet grain and got a bit darker with some fruit and a slightly bitter finish. Seemed a bit unbalanced to me.
