Served on draft at Hopcat in Grand Rapids. Pours a hazy ruby-brown color with a medium tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Faint toffee aroma. The taste is tart cherries, toffee and green apple. That green apple seems to affect nearly everything this brewery does, which is disappointing. Medium bodied.

Growler shared by BBB63 at the RBSG Grand Tasting. Thanks! Pours a dark amber color with a thin head. Aroma of toffee, green apple, caramel and a nutty finish. The taste is tart green apple which dominates everything else. Caramel and toffee peak out. Medium bodied. Seems off.

On tap at MBGSF 2010. This was the height of the downpour, and with the darkness inside the tent I can’t give a description of the appearance. Anyway, the aroma was pretty weak, but had a nutty earthiness. Flavor was again nutty and earthy with a citrus hoppiness. Not so great.

On tap at MBGSF 2010. Pours a hazy red amber. Aroma is just plain sour. Flavor is a vinegar sourness with red and green apple flavors. The acidity is quite sharp. Throughly enjoyable.

Served on draft at Hopcat in Grand Rapids. Pours a hazy yellow color with a thin head. Faint aroma with citrus hops and a faint whisky note. The taste is big hops including lemon and other citrus notes. Some peach as well, faint whisky notes and a spicy hop finish. Medium-full bodied. Decent beer.

On tap at the brew pub. Poured near clear amber with a white head that laced nicely. Aroma had notes of light pine and grass from the hops, with rye and an bit of underlying alcohol. Flavor has more present rye alcohol that smoothed the beer nicely and melded perfectly with the pine and grass hops.
