Description
Our beer is and will always be clean and consistent with a strong focus on balance. We feel our four flagship offerings best represent Pollyanna and take pride in their year-round availability (we package everything in cans and bottles). We're constantly experimenting with local fruits and spices, seasonal lagers, barrel-aging, wild yeast, and bacteria. In our intimate and truly unique taprooms, we offer tasting flights, draft pours, and to-go 64oz growlers, 32oz howlers, or 32oz crowler cans. Our Lemont location offers a scenic look at the brewery, our Roselle location offers a wide array of wood barrels, Italian Foudres, and a smaller brewhouse for unique one-off offerings, and our St Charles location offers our largest taproom and a beautiful view of the Fox River. Keep an eye out for a constant rotation of special firkins and taproom only offerings at each location.

Sampled from a can at Orange & Brew. Pours a clear light amber red with a white head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has earthy and slightly tart raspberry with some light grains underlying. Flavor has a nice raspberry jam with an earthy grain backbone.

Hazy amber to brown color, more head to start. Head is pretty persistent, not popping to deliver much aroma. Taste has more straight bitterness than hop flavor. Treacle on dark bread malt notes. A bitter hoppy aftertaste, again delivered by tiny bubbles of effervescence.

Slightly hazy gold color. Puffy head of foam that dwindles quickly. A yeah nose over some nice Brady malt. Shipping gives me nice prickly bubbles, sharpened by a peppery Euro hop load. Again, a touch of yeast in the taste, but not overmuch. Reminds me of the unfinished Pils they were offering from a 5 gallon pin Tuesday night. No distractions, just great beer taste.

Bright Amber color, with little to no foam. Tartness in the nose, and watermelon Sour Patch Kids. Fizzy mouthfeel right at the start. No evading it's got lot of puckery sour, tempered by the watermelon. No lactic notes for once. I'm pretty well disposed to it right now, may not be at another time. But then again, I say that about every fruited sour, but I always find myself in the mood for them.

Can at the Forge Quarry, Lockport, IL. No glass, but I spot a bit of bubbly pinkish beer on the can rim. Pleasant raspberry nose against a slight beery smell. Taste is light and, yes, summery. Raspberry leads the way, just tart enough to be noticed. Wheat beer backing just lets the fruit do its stuff. The quarry here also has On the Ropes, a pale ale from Pollyanna that's not on the database yet.

Draft at International Tap House. Clear golden, creamy head, lots of lacing. Grainy aroma, crackers . Taste adds a hint of lemon, oranges to the malts, bringing minor sweet notes with it. Tasty and smooth.

Draft at Orange & Brew. Oh, so murky orange juice color. Thin head of foam. Smell has lots of rank hop, pine, and some citrus notes. Now that I'm thinking of orange juice, that's the first thing I'm tasting. Nice sweet milk sugar note. Juicy orange. Some pine resin and other Juicy Fruit. Not excessively bitter. Really pleasant. Better than I expected from the way this style is discussed. Some bitter hoppy aftertaste ads to the experience.
