Description
Creative brewing is all about not sticking to the same old formula. Since 2008 we have experimented with different combinations of hops and ingredients to find both traditional and excitingly new tasting ales. We brew it with the care and attention we believe it deserves. Finest English malt is the base for all Backyard Brewhouse beers but it does not stop there. Combinations with hops such as New Age American, Old English, Slovenian and New Zealand as well as one or two other secret ingredients have helped make all our beers popular and distinctive. We are committed to creating new and interesting beers to sit alongside our range of core and regular products.

My first craft can from this brewery. Hazy gold, moderate sized white fluffy head with plenty of retention and lacing. Aroma of mango, passionfruit, apricot, sweet malts, hint of spice; very nice. Taste is sweet smooth malts, quite hoppy fruit notes of apricot, mango, zesty, some mild spice, moderate bitterness. Not sure if this their first foray into craft cans but I'm impressed.

440ml can. Murky amber-brown with small white head. Aroma is floral, grape, berries, toffee, biscuit malts. Taste is again very floral to fruity with grape and gooseberry notes, caramel and biscuit noted malts. Tangy dryness in the finish. It's ok but only moderately tasty, maybe a bit too floral for my tastes.

440ml can. Light cloudy gold/light amber, small white head. Aroma of floral peach and apricot, quite sweet, some stewed tropical fruit. Taste has the stone fruit elements, some orange zesty citrus, quite a dry biter astringency in the finish. Balance is a bit off which is a shame as there is a good hop level to this

Hazy gold with a bubbly white head and a light fruity aroma. Citrus orange notes sit on top of a light malt backbone, with hints of pine cutting in a little
