Cask at CPK. Clear gold with a mild, cream head. Bready malts, light fruits and citrusy hops in the nose. Nice and sweet, bready, with decent caramel and honey, light grass and tropical fruit bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. The finish is sweet, lightly dry, bread, grapes, very faint lingering bitters. Nice brew.

Cask at CPK. Pours rich amber with an off-white, goopey head. Lightly toasted malts and mild, citrus hops in the nose. Lightly sweet, malty, with some bread, ripe fruits, and drying bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Some malty sugars, more bread and citrus and earth bitterness on the finish. Decent stuff.

Cask, Bon Accord, Glasgow. Hazy amber. Some caramel but there really isn’t much aroma. Toasty palate, definite butter in the finish. Pretty underwhelming beer.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber, dark brown base with a small off-white head. Aroma head. Aroma is roasted and slight breadish Roasted, malty and caramelish. Ends with a slight breadish note. Bitter, overripe fruity and slight acidic.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild citrusy and slight peachy. Peachy and fruity flavoured. Slight tea like and mild peachy. Mild citrusy and bitter into a medium dry finish. Nice and easy. Crisp and hoppy.

Cask at the Market Porter, London on 16th August 2010. Clear red with thin white head. Sweetness of berries in aroma along with herb and spice notes. Slight smokiness in main kick then a sweet aftertaste - caramel/boiled-sweet. Light carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 5/08/10. As mentioned below, this beer had me thinking of the long nights of winter - it is the least summery summer beer I have ever encountered. Having said that, it was fine. A dark ruddy brown in colour with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish, fruit and cereal aroma, with a chewy malt flavour and moderately bitter finish.
