Tap @ Choice City. Copper orange appearance with an off white head. Quite spicy nutmeg, milder cinnamon, rich pumpkin, caramel malty aroma. Pretty spicy pumpkin ale- nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, light vanilla- caramel malty flavor. Not bad but it’s a pretty spicy pumpkin ale.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy, golden appearance with a white head. Moderate ginger, fairly floral, light malty aroma. Mostly a floral, ginger, slightly sweet malty flavor. Easy beer to drink, unfortunately I don’t enjoy ginger in a beer. Kind of boring but drinkable.

Bottle @ home. Very cloudy, yellow orange appearance with a pearl white head. Strong peaches, light cherries, yeast, dry wine, wheat malty nose. Tangy, strong peach pulpy, mild red fruity, yeasty, wheat malty flavor with a mild, wine, dry finish. Pretty tasty beer- I really like what these guys have been up to lately!

Bottle - moderate haze and high carbonation - nose is heavy on the dry, spice phenols (clove, sage), but there is an undercurrent of lightly sweet wheat malt and mild banana - quite inviting, really - light to medium body, with a moderate acidity - quite dry and spicy, with strong peppery phenols and a crisp, crackery maltiness - light toasty wheat - finish is bone dry, dusty, almost flinty, with lingering spiciness, light hop character and a bit of lemon/citrus - there is something about the finish that tastes more Belgian than hefe - maybe the particular yeast character - either way, this beer is solid - not quite a traditional hefe, but it is really hitting the spot right now.

12oz bottle. 1st bottle rating. Overly sweet, overly spiced and full of pumpkin-y flavor. Eh, I can’t stand the sweet or the spice. Had this side by side with Schlafly pumpkin, this is a much worse beer.

Bottle @ home., Deep brown appearance with a foamy, light brown head. Smells infected Oaty, dark malty, lightly nutty, lightly sour nose. Somewhat sour, pretty oaty, a touch of espresso, slightly nutty flavor. Is this why it was on clearance at Supermarket Liquor in Foco? (2.0/5). Update: tasted on tap at the tap room. No sign of infection this time but not something I would want to drink much of (2.6/5).

Was looking for something crisp and refreshing for this hot weekend anwd this does not disappoint - clear copper, lively pour - aroma is grassy hops, toasted grains, light doughiness, a bit of honey far in the back - flavor is initially a bit sweet, followed by a string toastiness (tastes a bit like Vienna malt, but can that be?) - dries out through the middle - Biscuity and moderately bitter - crisp finish, with a lingering bitterness/peppery hops - not diacetyl, as others have noted - a nice quaffable brew for this weather - underrated.

Tap at Euclid Hall - hazy gold pour - they offer you syrup when you order it, which is actually pretty cool, despite the fact that no self-respecting beer nerd would accept said syrup - moderately sour lacto character going on here, complimenting notes of lemon and tangy wheat - aside from that, not much happening - simply clean, light and refreshing, which is kind of what you want in the style, really - decent.

Tap @ Freshcraft, Denver. Pours black, no head, just a small ring of foam. Aroma of roasted malt, some citruslike hops, grapefruit. Taste is Pine, grapefruit, oatmeal, roasted malt and cocoa. Medium body, light bitter finish. Somehow a cross between a stout and a BIPA wichs turns out okies. 030311
