Description
Created in Birmingham in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum, GlassHouse Beer Co. has grown in leaps and bounds on the back of its innovative vegan beers.
Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.
GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 25/10/21. Moderately hazed orange with a good sized white cap that stays for the show. Nose is orange pith, pineapple, grass, melon, lychee, soft malts. Taste comprises orange zest, grass, light stoned fruits, tangerine, lychee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with juicy hop bitterness. Decent IPA.

Good hazy yellow body and some nice foam on top. Chalky papaya on the nose, melon hints, crisp and well done. Taste is a whole lot of melon with some soft crackery grain hints, papaya notes, ending quite dry but still refreshing. Very drinkable, very approachable.

Nice foam on a hazy yellow body. Good aroma of melon and pine, sharp and full. Taste is chewy melon, grassy hops, pine notes. Finishes reasonably full for the low abv. In fact very well done, highly crushable.

Okay foam on a mostly cloudy gold body. Really musty lager hops, bready with banana, different but intriguing. Taste is chewy breadiness, soft sweet cracker, ends smooth. A chunky lager but some interesting things going on.

440ml can. Hazy golden, big white head. Aroma of tropical and citrus fruits, slightly dank. Taste of tropical and citrus fruits, orange, resinous, a little dank, bitter. Medium bodied. Really nice though I think it could do with a lot more bitterness for the style.
