Description
Created in Birmingham in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum, GlassHouse Beer Co. has grown in leaps and bounds on the back of its innovative vegan beers.

Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.

GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

440ml crowler direct from brewery. Pours hazy yellow-gold, small white head. Mango, peach and pine, quite fresh. Its fruity with slight citrus tartness, fairly smooth and clean, nice bitter pine finish, carbonation a little high at first but settles. As with most single hop pales there are no real surprises here but this one is well made.

440ml crowler direct from brewery. Hazy gold, small white head, some lacing. Aroma of malts, mango, grapes and pine. Taste follows same path and is juicy, smooth, semi-chewy body, soft carbonation. A punchy bitterness. Good stuff.

440ml crowler from brewery @ 3.2%. Hazy gold, small white head, decent retention. Aroma is fresh hops, with citrus, grapefruit, a hint of light resin. Taste starts just citrusy and grassy, but then gives way to lovely smooth malt and a fresh fruity orange note with a bitter resinous and slight spicy finish. Good body for a low ABV. This is up there with Kernel's table beer. Excellent.

Keg @ Tap & Can. Unclear golden yellow, nice frothy white head. Excellent vibrant stonefruit character, encompassing mango, apricot with gentle resin massaging a nice juicy profile. Nicely rounded, smooth with great drinkability. Very good.

Pours hazy light gold with a foamy white head, and plenty of mellow fruit on the nose. The taste is excellent dollops of tropical fruit and the mouthfeel has a slightly creamy edge to it, there's a slight hop bitterness going on and the finish is wonderfully fruity
