Description
Created in Birmingham in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum, GlassHouse Beer Co. has grown in leaps and bounds on the back of its innovative vegan beers.

Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.

GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

Keg at Deya Taproom. Murky orange with a frothy head. Juicy citrus zesty aroma. Taste is all citrus fruits, orange and grapefruit and mango like flavours, some stone fruits, light sweetness, bitter zesty finish. Light-medium body, soft carbonation. This is a new brewery to me and a lovely introduction to their beers, great to see them get outside of Birmingham.

Keg at Burning Soul, Hockley, Birmingham, Saturday 27th January 2018 in the company of Isobel and Berry. Black in colour with a slim tan head. A very solid Imperial Stout, ash, roasty, smooth and a little bitter, a little liquorice a dab of dark bitter treacle. Good for being a straight down the middle Imperial Stout, enjoyable, really nice. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov14 3.8
