Right out of the barrel at Shoreditch. Dark brown, mahogany body with a small bubbly head. Aroma comes in sweet, prunes and raisins and a hint of booze. Taste is more dark fruity flavors, some barrel notes, woody and a nice dose of alcohol warmth.

Keg at the brewpub. Low key fruity aroma. Medium brown. Creamy white head clings to the rim. Malty. Sour edge. Light bodied. Thin but slick. Slightly astringent finish. Nice.

Draft at Shoreditch brewpub. Medium gold with small white head. Aroma and taste were both pretty subdued, hence the Little moniker. Malty, fruity hoppy, a little bit of each, but overall very light on the palate.

Draft at the brewpub. Light amber body with a small haziness factor. Fruity aroma, peaches, melon. Taste is sweet, more fruit, a little bit tart, a little bit tangy. Slick and oily and full bodied. The whole thing kind of sneaks up on you and finishes great.

Keg at the brewpub. Rich dark fruit aroma. Dark chestnut. Very thin white head. Sour with a sweet edge. Vinous and dark fruit. Medium bodied. Slick. Sticky. Flat carbonation. Warming astringent finish. Decent warming stuff.

Draft at the GI Shoreditch pub. Dark, cola colored pour. Light roast in the aroma, turning a bit sweet in the taste. Some bitterness in the finish, not as much as I would like to see in a schwarzbier.

Draft at the GI Shoreditch location Hazy pour, straw color, small tight head. Fruity aroma, citrusy. Taste turns more to tropical and stone fruit flavors Not overly bitter, light on the palate.

Keg at the brewery. Sweet syrupy stone fruit aroma. Copper gold. Thin creamy white head. Medium bitter which seems to gain strength. Sour stone fruit edge. Light bodied. Thin if slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Nice enough.

Keg at the brewpub. A clear mid copper coloured pour with a fading off white head. Aroma is apple, raisin, caramel, hay, wood. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, lager yeast, apple esters caramel, toffee apple. OK. Mild hop. Palate is semi sweet, light grain, moderate carbonation. Meh.
