0,473l can at gfs place bought from De Bierliefhebber. Canned 09/2020. black color, small very dark coffee colored head. smells coffee, earthy, bitter chocolate, spices, some cinnamon, nutty, lovely smell. full body, light carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes of coffee, lactose, spices, peppery, light sweetness, nutty, hazelnuts, light molasses, cinnamon. finishes bitter / sweet with notes of (milk) coffee, lactose and some nutty notes. very nice one, lovely coffee notes, compared to most other pastry stouts not very sweet, but overall still a tad too sweet for me, would like this better with some more roasty notes. overall none the less very good beer.

473ml can. Jet black colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of chocolate cookie indeed; milk chocolate, dark chocolate, a touch of vanilla, nutty overtones etc. Taste is sweet, chocolately, dark malty, notes of chocolate sauce, caramel, hints of chocolate cookies (less explicit cookie character than in the nose), nutty and vanilly overtones, a bitter, alcoholic touch. Oily to vIscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Nose is à point, taste resembles a bit more chocolate cake or chocolate sauce, but so what; balanced, harmonious, tasty - nothing to crab.
