Deep slightly hazy red-amber color, small beige head. Vanilla, red currant berries in the aroma. Light-bodied. Sweetish, alcoholic and very berryish, acidic. Not much of dunkler bock.

500ml bottle @ vPBF
Pours dark brown with a small head. Malty and slightly spicy aroma with some earthy notes and hints of chocolate. Taste is sweet and malty with some juicy notes, hints of tart fruits and berries. Finish is slightly tart and malty. Decent, but not really a dunkler bock. Too much berries.

50 cl bottle @ vPBF, no BBE info
Aroma is rather stinging, unpleasant and stale with lots of alcohol, some sherry and hints of sour apples. Flavour is really sweet with alcohol, some honey and sourish apples. Feels like a mead mixed with sherry. Interesting.

Slightly hazy orange-amber color, mostly vanishing white head. Green apple, honey in the nose - like a mead! Medium to full bodied. Green apple, very sweet honeyish flavor, sherry, liquerish. Good mead, medicore barley wine.

Bottled@vPBF2012 (thanks Papsoe!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, alcohol, some mild toffee, glue and some harsh grains. Flavour is glue, sweet alcohol, some honeyish and mild apple like notes. More a mead than Barley Wine. Or then an Imperial Malt Liquor.

Pours clear orange with a tiny sticky head. Strong malty and boozy aroma with a lot of glue and hints of honey. Taste is super sweet and unpleasant with a lot of glue, booze, honey and meady notes. Hints of apples and spices. Finish is sticky and boozy. Messy, quite bad. Way too sweet for my taste.

Hand pump at Danske Ølentusiasters Ølfestival 2012, Copenhagen
The color is almost black, flat, with no head. The mild aroma of apples reveals a fermentation that is not mastered. Very sugary flavor, with some caramel, similar to the #2 (Gylden Dessertøl), but the caramel covers some flaws better, here. Low bitterness.
Simple, home brew still. Please keep trying and improve it with some more complexity.

Hazy amber-brown-green color. Sweet aroma with a light apple trait. Very sweet flavor, some fruits, some alcohol but not too much. Very similar to a German mead. Not very skilled or professional, just sweet (and I like sweet beers).
