Description
BREWING SINCE 2011 Behind the company are Morten Fogdahl-Wiese and Dennis Mejdal. Two friends who in 2018 chose to follow their dream and together send Beard Brew's first commercial brew to the streets. Morten is the weird scientist who is not afraid to try things out in the brewing process to find the path to good taste. Dennis, who loves to taste good beer, is the graphic maestro who adds graphics to the beer. Beard Brew is a new player on the Danish beer market, but not new to the brewing profession. Since 2011, they have been experimenting with water, malt, hops and yeast in copper vats. It has always been analog brewing over gas, with a handheld strainer and stirring every 5 minutes. This is where the craft has been learned, experiences have been gained and the recipe book expanded. Beard Brew's 250 liter brewing system has been frequently used by established breweries over the years to test upcoming brews. Several of the beers are now in the range of these breweries. Beard Brew has headquarters in each end of the country. Brewmaster Morten lives in Randers, where Beard Brew's home brewery is also located. Graphic designer Dennis lives in Copenhagen, where he is art director for the VEGA music venue. Beard Brew is a private label that, with the first commercial brew based on its own unique recipe, has Randers Bryghus responsible for the brewing.
