440ml can taken away from the Blue Boar, Leicester and drunk at home. Dark brown, mostly translucent with a quickly dissipating khaki head. Dark chocolate dominates the aroma with notes of raisin, some molasses, some mint. Sweet taste, lots more chocolate, a touch of caramel. Bitterness in the aftertaste, feels that little bit artificial. Medium body with carbonation on the heavy side.

Cask (gravity) at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a cloudy very dark reddish-brown with minimal beige head. The aroma is mainly roasted malts with hints of chocolate. In the mouth it fluctuates between sweet and bitter with alcoholic strength very evident. Flavour is initially blackberries, roasted malts and chocolate, but spices and chilli come through later to mask the toher flavours. Finish is boozy and slightly fruity. This is very moreish !

Panda thanks to Wingman. A weird looking beer this. A translucent green amber thing. Small pale tan head, a slightly green tinge. Palate is light and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. The Dandelion and Burdock flavour delivered with aplomb. Pretty bloody tart with it but then the backend is pretty bloody sweet. A good tension between the two. Light and fairly dry finish tastes like some threw some sherbet in the mix. A tad dry but other than that, a highly entertaining brew this one. Perhaps just back the sweetness of by one notch.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 13/07/2025.
Deep mahogany brown topped with a lasting beige head.
Nose is dark fruit rinds, candied orange peel, herb, soured fruit trace.
Taste comprises tangy fruits, sugars, herb, hedgerow.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light puckering edge.
Passable sour .. overly sweet and sugary for my liking but does deliver on the Dandelion and Burdock.
