Bottle sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Tom L. Clear amber. Stale skunky hops, malt, diacetyl, caramel, sweet, bitter finish, medium-bodied. Not good.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Nose brings out rich roasted malt, cheese, light cocoa and some coffee grounds. Flavour is similar, with earthy coffee, light cocoa and roasted malt. There's a similar feet / cheesy character. Roast and rich. Decent stuff, but I could lose the cheese.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Pitch ball, dark espresso head. The aroma had loads of sweet dark chocolate and molasses, some nutmeg spice, a little licorice later on. Big strong dark taste, within being too sweet or too roasty - dark chocolate, some licorice, dark molasses, strong hoppy bitterness and just the right amount of boozy heat. Might seem a little too sharp at first times, but still very impressive compared, especially when it comes out of a big brewery.

Bottle. Pours petroleum black with small tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, ginger, some smoke & chocolate. Similar taste. Medium body. Light finishing bitterness. It might be good. But it is just beyond my impy concept.

Tap. Close to black color, coffee foam. Sweet aroma: vanilla, perfume, air freshener. Strong taste: caramel, port wine, sweet spice, a little burnt barley, a little almond, something wrong.
