On tap at the Alibi Room, pours an opaque cloudy pink ruby colour wi h a small white head. Aroma is extremely fruity, with loads of red berries, plenty of pithy stone fruits and light funk. Flavour is very earthy, with plenty of saison yeast, farmhouse character, manure, and red berries. Can't shake the barnyardy manure quality, which isn't bad. A little messy and yeasty, but it works decently. Interesting concoction.

Tasting at Mattβs
Brown color. The smell of spices is so strong that it smells like soap, cassia and cardamom being the most offensive. Malt and some chocolate flavor; moderate sweetness; the exaggerate spicing is offensive to the flavor and to the world of beermaking; astringent final.
If you load your beer with spices, you donβt show brewing skills; if you lack brewing skills, you hide the flaws with shit.
Undrinkable fake brew.

On tap at Brassneck, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out notes of brett, light citrus, and moderate funk. Flavour is quite funky, with a fair amount of brett, a little oak, and light citrus tartness. Unusual notes to this, tasting like a kettle sour. Lacking complexity and a bit messy, with a grainy, seltzery finish. Not very thrilling but it's okay.

Light brown and a cloud this has cardamom, star anise sort of spice aromas. There is a lot of cardamom and a light cocoa malt character. Itβs a spiced ale, not so much farmhouse. OK body, some dusty yeast notes. The spice is quite dominant, and overwhelms the rest, but really the base beer doesnβt offer a ton. More sugars would be nice to take the spices across the palate. Before you spice, you must nail the base beer.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of cardamom, with some earthiness and a touch of saison yeast. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of cardamom upfront, followed by a very earthy saison character. Dominated by the cardamom. It's not overly pleasant, but it's decent.

Very drinkable, but I would like to see a little more body and roast. The salt isnt "salty" but instead adds a dryness. Bottle on office.

Medium brown. Thin head. Sort of a fudgey aroma. On the palate, lots of liquorice, with a fairly fudgey. Sweet, but not much going on in terms of complexity. The bourbon is whatever...not understanding the value here. Too thin, not complex. If you like liquorice maybe but you have to work harder than this to get interesting flavours. I mean, the regular was 3.5 so this version is way worse.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out messy bourbon character, followed by light toasted malt. Flavour brings out light bourbon, toasted malt and a little toasted caramel. Seriously, how is it acceptable to just dump bourbon into a porter? This characterizes the standard of beer in BC. Just take your regular beer and dump some shit into it. I mean, it's not bad, but it's lacking complexity and very haphazardly put together.

750mL bottle, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly oaky, with notes of concrete (like Hair of the Dog's concrete egg), and light wild yeast. Flavour is along the same lines, with light wild yeast and concrete. Not especially discerning what this is supposed to be. It's okay.
