16oz @ Ryan's shared with Alex (thx for the beer, man!) hoping that allergy effects won't affect my taste, hehe. Appearance: dark brown with a weak dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, earthy, some sweetness. Taste: along the same lines, medium-bodied, some chocolate and roasted malt. A bit earthy in the finish. Overall: ok.

Poured from 473mL can. Near. lack with small beige head. Licorice, roast malt, wasn't a big fan of the original salted black porter so this is just okay.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Beautiful colour, dark blond, clean. The first whiff is sulfuric and onion-y. The malt has a mild honey toast character, pleasant; balanced bitterness, with a touch of hop resins, but brighter hop character can be found in other beers; overall, it's a pleasant, clean, robust Lager, but nothing special.

Copper colour, bright. Medium head. Aroma has a great biscuity malt, warming and blending really well with papaya and apricot fruit notes -and that's not a combo that is guaranteed to work. Off-dry, moderate bitterness but that malt character is the best of any FH beer I've had. Makes me wish they re-start that CHWK lager program with whoever brewed this.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of tart notes with some oak and light strawberry notes. Taste is also a mix of tart notes with some oak and strawberry notes that are faint. Taste is also a mix of tart notes and oak with some strawberry notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Good sour with limited acidity but strawberry notes are quite faint.
