Draught at Darby's Gastown, Vancouver
Hazy golden colour. Light citrus aroma. Undercarbonated, the mouthfeel is lightly oily, more lemongrass than lime, I feel like I'm eating lemongrass steamed fish. Light acidity.
Weird, rather useless beer.

Murky dark red-amber color, small pinkish head. Delicate aroma of blueberries. Moderately sweet, flavor of blackberry and elderberry juice, wine, moderately tart, with astringent final; it doesn't even feel like a 10% beer.
Very good.

Hazy amber color. The aroma is dusty, earthy, lightly footy. Good body strength, lightly sweet, malt flavor, vegetable (maybe the pine), hop resins, some berries, some tannin, chicory in the final.
You add too much to a beer, you get chaos, not a work of art. Not bad, but nothing special.

Cloudy golden color. Decent aroma, saison yeast, coriander. Good body strength, the malt base is light, some sourness, vomit, and unpleasant vegetable bitterness in the final.
Not a very good beer, kind of random brewing.

Murky blond color. Fruity aroma, stone fruits, mild citrus and lactic. Soft mouthfeel, good body strength; delicate malts, moderate sourness, lactic acid, and good citrus character.
This could be described as bolder, less dry version of kettle sour.

Bottle. Bright. Dark amber. Thin, bubbly head. Funny how in 2018 this doesn't even look like an IPA. The white wine aroma is prominent...ok that's neat. These are new hops for me but I know the French has some fun varietals these days. Great to see someone using them. On the palate, just a touch of caramel...less than the appearance suggests. The vinous fruity hop note is still prominent...and fun. Moderate bitterness. These hops would prefer all pale malt though, and goodness knows a splash of tannin from a month in oak. And I can't lie - it was tough to finish the bottle. It just got too sweet and the hop/malt clash only became more of an issue as it went along.

Draught at Darby's Kitsilano, Vancouver
Dark brown opaque color, near black, with creamy tan head. Mild aroma of chocolate, wood, roasted malts. Smooth mouthfeel, lean, light residual sweetness, chocolate flavor, roasted malts, lightly ashy in the final, light whiskey, light dark fruits.
This is a balanced combination of elements. Very pleasant.

Cloudy red amber color with persistent compact head. Sweetish, fruity, with a strange aroma and flavor of rotten apples and other ripe fruits, cheap wine; medium to low bitterness, some sweet orange in the final.
Not very good. Not too bad, but weird.

Hazy, pale, with bubbly head. Fruity, bright hop aroma - lychee, citrus, and grapefruit. On the palate, moderate bitterness, citrus dominant, with a bit more acidity than IPA usually has. Decent, the citrus adjunct not being too obtrusive, though it doesn't do anything to add to the beer either.
