About
In 2009 Blackedge Brewery was founded born of Shaun and Wayne’s passion for good beer. The name is a combination of our respective home villages at the time, Blackrod and Edgworth.

11 years on we have become a well-known award-winning microbrewery at the heart of the small independent brewing community in the North West. We are SIBA FSQ accredited and members of the SIBA Independent Assured Brewer programme which ensures the beers we make are of the highest quality. We take pride in the quality beers we provide.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Deeper golden with a small head. There's some sugars to this hoppy ale, also with a gentle late bitterness.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Clear golden-orange with a frothy-bubbly head. An initial hoppiness gives way to a lasting low to mid bitterness. Its bitterness is very evident from its malts in its nose.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. The bitter part had been dropped from the pump clip, but I think it's the same beer, with hops and a bitterness in equal measure, along with some fruitiness. Golden with a head.

Cask ale, half-pint, shared with Finn at Old Vic in Preston. Clear pale golden body, clingy lacing from a dissipating white head. Moderate lemony hops on the nose. Flavoured with ripe lemon on a doughy backbone. Distant fruit bitter ending. Quite alright. (06.02,2019).

Cask @ Baum, Rochdale. Black with an off-white creamy head. It’s slightly smoked and somewhat floral, and its strength gives it a fuller texture. There’s stated roasted malts in its aroma.
