Keg at the brewdog tower hill. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is lovely tangerines, lychee, floral citrus, white grape. Flavour is composed of chalky, semi sweet malts, tangerine, pithy light plastic. Funky fermented orange.. Spicy citrus in the finish. Not bad. Lingering raw grains.

Keg at BD Tower Hill. It pours hazy lightly yellow with a small white head. The aroma is fresh pine action, sticky resin, baked goods, cake, touch of spice and sweet grapefruit vibes. The taste is dry, pretty big hit of bitterness, pithy, zesty, pine character, some greenness, grapefruit, lemon rind, waxy peel, some alcohol kick, slight soap and soda water with lemon with a drying and bitter linger. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Perhaps a touch raw, bit I like it anyhow.

Keg at BD TH. It pours cloudy orange with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, juicy tropical fruits, mango, papaya and the like, bit green, dank and some bready malts. The taste is dry, good hit of bitterness, green, weedy, dank, pine needles, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, light spice, tropical fruits, floury bread and some alcohol kick. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Good NE IPA vibes with a good load of bitterness. Rather nice work for their first offering.

Taste comprises bitter orange, grapefruit zest, pine dusting, papaya, toasted malts, fleshy mango, light spice, semi dank strokes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Solid IPA ... good level of bitterness ... not an overly sweet show pony.

Growlerfill courtesy of our great next door neighbours, Geraint and Helen (thanks you two!) had this Sunday 29th April 2018 whilst getting ready to start cooking Chicken with Thyme and Lemon and Smashed Garlic Potatoes and making a Fig Marscapone Ice Cream for dessert. Pours a really murky yellow brown with a large white head, This had a real pop when I undid the top, so in superb condition. This is juicy as, fruity with a citrus combination with lemon the main one noted, wow just having a sneezing fit after sniffing this. Good sweetness a light bitterness, quite soft but with a little bristle, this tastes a little more bitter than some NEIPAs. Really good. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0
