Description
The Fuzzy Duck Brewery is an eight barrel (1300 litre) plant located in Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire. The brewery started as a half barrel plant located at the home of the Head Brewer (Ben Croston) in Preesall in January 2006. Demand immediately outstripped supply and after a lengthy search, new premises were found in Poulton-le-Fylde. On 17th October 2006 the first brew, 'Pheasant Plucker' was completed on the new 8 barrel plant.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear dark amber to lightly red-brown color, small to average sized off-white head. Quite faint aroma. Taste malts, caramel, brown candy sugar lightly in the background but also a slight touch of hops and perhaps a hint of dark fruits even. I like it.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Reddish copper with a tight cream head; treacle aroma; smooth and silky in the mouth with rich malts and bitter burnt sugar, but not sweet at all; then a dry finish with lingering burnt caramel.
