Description
Beginning as a 5 barrel plant in 2005, Digfield Ales attracted attention early on with a multi award-winning outing at their very first Peterborough Beer Festival in 2006. Now a well established 15 barrel plant, the brewery has an enviable reputation for consistently produced, quality real ales, with clarity and flavour being absolute watchwords.

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Festival 16-02-07. This beer poured a golden colour with just the merest hint of a haze and a white quickly dissapearing head. The aroma was really sulphery and as Glenn mentioned we felt that it compared with Pedigree some years ago. The beer had a nice hoppiness with it and a very pleasant citrusy tang and at 3.8% I felt that it had pretty good depth with a lingering finish. Overall a decent beer that was still just a tad rough around the edges.
