500ml bottle. Gluten Free. Black-brown colour, beige foam head and aroma of malt, chocolate, roasty. Taste is sweetish, malt, caramel, chocolate, milky, cocoa, with some roasted bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, earthy roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Crafty Merlins, Darlington. Gluten Free. Hazy gold colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of citrusy hop. Taste is pale malt, grains, fruity, citrus, pine, with hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at Crafty Merlins, Darlington. Gluten Free. Clear golden colour, white foam head and aroma of malt, caramel. Taste is malt, biscuit, grains, fruity, straw, with some woody bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of earthy malt, twiggy. Taste is buttery biscuit and apple. Earthy finish.

Taste is pale malt, biscuit hint, fruity, citrus, pine and tangy hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry citric bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

440ml can from CentrAle, Newcastle Station. Gluten Free. Dark brown colour, foamy tan head leaving lacing and aroma of fruity hop, dark malty. Taste is roasty malt, coffee, chocolate with some citric hop and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, finish is citric & roasty bitter. Nicely drinkable.
