Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours clear copper with a thin white head. Aromas of malt loaf and toffee. Taste is lightly nutty, sweet. Faint bitter finish.

Bottle picked up a grocers somewhere in Northumbria. Not far off black. Nice dense lasting beige foam. Looks well. Crusty well done granary loaf. Bit of char. Whiff of tobacco. Whiff of vine fruit. Taste has light fruity sweetness turning dry and lightly vinous. Smooth and easy going with fine bubbles. Dry vinous finish. Nice porter. Bet it’s a blinder on cask.

Hand pump at Blue Blazer. Deep red to chestnut, offwhite cream. Light roasty juicy malt nose. Chewy creamy mouthfeel, a hint melanoidin, pleasant fruit, perfumed light earthy finish. Nice.

ABV: 4.6%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, pale malt, fruity malt, sharp, citrus, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at Darlington Rugby Club Beer Festival 2024. Gluten Free. Golden colour, white foam head and aroma of citrusy hop. Taste is malt, grain, biscuit with tangy, citric hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
