Cask at the Walsall Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear yellow straw colour with no head and no life at all. The flavour is medium bitter, with hints of pear and a little watery on the palate. Not what I was expecting and not a classic.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear light yellow colour with a thick white fluffy head. The aroma is of fruit and malt.The flavour is medium bitter, hoppy and with a spicy, slightly peppery and malty palate. It’s billed as an IPA, but its more like a regular pale ale for me and a very good one at that.

Cask at the Grape and Grain Autumn beer festival, Crystal Palace. Gold pour with a white head. Pear drop, wheat and citrus aroma. Sweet fruit flavours. Fruity finish. Quite nice.

Cask@GBBF2012. Yellow colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild fruity and nectary notes along with mild grains and seeds. Flavour is fruity, floral and some nice bitterness.

18th May 2012: hand pulled pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington. Pale amber body with a creamy head of off-white foam on top. Nose and taste are both mildly citrus with a semi-sweet caramel undertone: nice blend and easy to drink. No world beater, but a steady brew with a medium body strength and enough depth of flavour to please.

Hazy golden color, with small and persistent frothy head. Mild aroma of malt, with a light cheese trace. The mouthfeel is smooth and quite dry, with some dry toffee flavor, and bitterness well beyond British boundaries, leading to a drier final; there is a bit of aromatic hop components.
Not a modern take, just a good classic Golden Ale.

Cask handpump at The Firefly, Worcester with mum & Loz 19.05.12 4.5% Mid gold in colour had a slim white head. Brisk bitterness the tongue positively tingles. Lovely hoppiness which I guess is Summit hops, quite dry, another very decent beer from Kinver. A7 A4 T8 P3 Ov15 3.7

Cask at NWAF, 2012. Amber pour with a white head. Baked apple and barley sugar aroma. Flavours of stewed apple, pear drops and vanilla. Quite vinous. Fruity-bitter finish. Very tasty.
