Description
Cheviot Brewery is a micro brewery on the Ford & Etal Estate in North Northumberland producing traditional cask and bottled ale. Offering brewery tours and tastings at our Cheviot Tap onsite tap bar and soon to offer an onsite glamping experience.

Brewing with the best ingredients and creating ales inspired by the history and landscape of North Northumberland.

Cask at the bow bar. Pours clear golden, nose is mango, toffee, taste is grass, bitter, floral.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - lightly cloudy golden amber. Attractive lacing. Nose - burnt bread plus a little lemon. Taste - burnt bread or biscuit again. Palate - close to medium bodied and crunchy. Dry but again crunchy. Overall - add 2% and you've got an ESB. That could be interesting. Not sure it's a hoppy session ale.

Bottle from Taste of Northumbria, Alnwick. Shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a thin white head, couple of yeasty bits at the end of the pour. Aromas of light hops, citrus, and astringent malt. Taste is bitter, from hops and more astringent biscuit malt. Heavy bitterness. Pithy.

Bottle from Taste of Northumbria, Alnwick. Pours clear dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate, liquorice and leather. Taste is bitter cocoa and a hint of liquorice. Slightly thin on the finish.

Bottle from Taste of Northumbria. Pours clear pale golden with a thin white head. Aromas of citrus and malt. Taste has a good bitterness. Fresh orange. Bitter finish.

18/7/2019. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours almost black with a beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, liquorice and dark fruits. Moderate sweetness with moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slickish texture, average to soft carbonation. Very nice.

18/7/2019. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, light resin, malt and straw. Moderate sweetness with medium bitterness nicely developing. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Warmed to this.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich roast malt, chocolate, coffee, licorice and hops. Nice long roasty licorice finish.
