Can (and was it from tap too?), at the brewery. Now this is more like it! Opaque orange body, small white head. Notes of orange in the aroma, pretty dank too, malty backbone. Soft taste that goes along the same lines - orange and dank notes from the hops, solid malty backbone that doesn’t get in the way but holds the hops up nicely. Won’t rock your world, but this is pretty well crafted, especially visible once you let it warm a little. Good job!

The Garden Brewery, Nick Colgan’s baby, is a really cool setup, with very cool people, that 5 of us - me, 3 journalists and a friend of one of the journalists, got to visit for a pre-release tour. Tried it both on tap and from can. This is their bread & butter beer, a session ale, but with an interesting hop bill. Poured a marvelously clear (it’s unfiltered!), pale golden body with a small white head. Aroma... flowery honey notes mostly, creamy. The body is soft, slowery, sligthly chalky and creamy, even very lightly salty - with the same flowery honey notes. It basically ends in a void and then a mild bitterness appears somewhere in the aftertaste and stays for a bit - if just a touch. Not my kind of session ale, far from it, and I cannot give it more than I have, but better than the macros, and cold - it will do wonders at festivals, in the Dalmatian sun, and that’s what they were aiming for.
