Draught at Lord Hobo, 1/19/14
Headless, rhubarb-stem tinted quartz body is mildly hazy.
Apple cider vinegar, white pepper, berry skin are all doused in lactic acid. More kombucha than cider in the nose, which is odd considering its mostly cider. High strength of aroma, but perhaps a little simplistic.
More apple in the flavor; unripe quince, apple skin and virtually no sweetness all lead to a lactic tartness, with yogurt and hints of vinegar. Watery but not thin thanks to the engaging carbonation. Pretty straightforward and successful. Would like to see more complexity/depth of apple flavor, as the apple is pretty fleeting, especially in the nose. Still, incredibly easy drinking.

Location: Draft at Cornerstone (Ogunquit, not College Park, sorry Kramer!), 7/11/13

Aroma: The nose is what you'd expect, apple, some booze, and oak
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear golden color with a small white head
Flavor: The taste is apple and oak, it is semi-tart and not particularly sweet in this style
Palate: The body is fairly light and it has a lively carbonation
Overall Impression: I thought this was an interesting one. The oaking worked nicely, but stays fairly subtle. It isn't very sweet for the style. It is pretty unique.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color cider with strong carbonation. Aroma consists of fresh medium sweet apple with some light oak notes. Taste is also dominated by medium sweet apple juice notes with light oak notes and bourbon notes are even more subtle. Interesting and makes me want to try other cider form those guys.
