Pours black with a small head. Aroma is licorice, oak casks, char coal, soy sauce and a little bit of whisky. Flavour is sweet licorice, oak cask and warming whisky. Despite the strenght it manages to stay quite balanced.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear deep brown beer, a decent bubbly tan head, not mayfly but not very long lived. The PX barrelling smooths out the base beer. The bitterish espresso is still there and hasn't lost its edge. The PX barrel adds a trace of vanilla oak and of course, the dark fruity sweetness of PX. The sweet and bitter elements of this brew, stand in stark contrast but, balance each other out. A little alcohol spice on the finish. Like this, the PX barrel has smoothed out the unhinged base beer, but does not stop it snarling.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near opaque dark brown beer, small and very short lived tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, good fine minerally carbonation lightens. Chewy dark malts, an intense and bitterish espresso vibe. A little dark chocolate underneath, the cheap candyish kind. Some brandyish alcohol and spice. A fair few esters on the semi dry and warming finish. Entertaining if a little unhinged and unrefined. No denying the flavour packed in to every sip!
