2014. Een kleine groep enthousiaste bierliefhebbers en een droom ontmoeten elkaar. Dat die lief konden hebben bleek wel! Dat ze dromen konden verwezenlijken ook! Inmiddels bestaat het brouwteam uit 7 toegewijde mensen met brouwer Rob Bours, destijds huurbrouwer ‘Brasserie Bours’, aan het creatieve roer. Samen met David Hendrich, schrijver van het boek ‘historische brouwerijen van Eindhoven’, en oprichter van Eijkenrode bier hebben zij Brouwerij 100 Watt het leven ingeblazen.

In 2023 bundelden we onze krachten met niemand minder dan van Moll en Stadsbrouwerij 013 om samen een gloednieuwe brouwerij te creëren, onder de naam Lighttown Brewers. We kijken uit naar een stralende toekomst vol smaakvolle avonturen. Proost op wat komen gaat!

Flesje gekregen met verjaardag en thuis gedronken. (ABV 7) Roodbruin, licht troebel bier met stevig schuim. Aroma van citrusvruchten en mout. Smaak is hoppig en kruidig. Nasmaak is bitter hoppig en blijft lang hangen.

Flesje thuis gedronken. Rood-bruin troebel bier, komt wild uit de fles. Schuim blijft lang staan. Aroma is citrusachtig en moutig. Smaak is bitter en kruidig. Jammer dat alleen de bitterheid blijft hangen.

Keg at SBWF. Near black, coarse beige head. Rich vanilla aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Coffee with sugar and vanilla. Slightly warming finish with hints of syrup.

Bottled at SBWF. Hazy deep golden; small coarse head. Herbal fruity nose. Mid dry with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Lemongrass and lavender. Light piney bitterness.

Opaque black/thin creme head. Big sweet deep roasted choco malts, molasses, roasted coffee beans, marshmallows, vanilla, chocolate. Over medium sweet & light cocoa bitter. Over medium to full body, soft carb. A bit boozy & thin supple feel to it.

Bottle at home. Opaque black with thin creme head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, molasses, roasted coffee beans, marshmallows, vanilla. Over medium sweet and light cocoa bitter. Over medium to full body, soft carbonation. A bit boozy and thin supple feel to it. Bottle shared. Very hazy reddish brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma of roasty malts, caramel and grassy notes. Flavour is light sweet and really heavy bitter with a long super bitter finish. Above light bodied with soft carbonation. [12-09-2016]
