Bottle 330ml. @ Solmu Pub, Vaasankatu 8, Helsinki, Finland 00500. [ As Solmu Courtown Bowline ].ABV: 5,3%. Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, earthy, tobacco - coffee. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, chocolate, earthy, vanilla, coffee - tobacco, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Draught @ Solmu Pub, Vaasankatu 8, Helsinki, Finland 00500. [ As Solmu Indian Clove Hitch ].Clear medium amber orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, resin, apple - clove. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, pale malt, apple - clove. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. Smell of grass. Dark amber colour, offwhite head. Aroma of metal, malt, grass. Metallic flavour dominates too much. Bitter. Half viscous texture.

Bottled at Solmu Pub, Helsinki. Dark brown, huge head - gushing upon opening. Aroma of cocoa and coffee. Dry with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Lightly phenolic with chocolate and tobacco. Mid bitter finish.

Keg at Solmu Pub, Helsinki. Clear deep golden, small head. Buttery nose with red apples. Sweetish with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Diacetyle and apples. Not much else. Mid bitter finish.

Sold as Solmu Courtown Bowline. Smell of ash, tar. Black colour, extreme dark brown head. Aroma of ash, hops, some chocolate. Very dry palate. Medium bitter. Plentiful carbon. Strong body for this ABV.

Tap at Solmu Pub. Deep amber colour, medium-sized beige head. Light caramel, maltyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Malty and bitter flavour. Kind of ESB on drugs. Hoppy, clean.

(Keg at Ølhus Stockholm, 20171220) The beer poured deep amber and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were spiciness, fruitiness, sweetness, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy, malty and bitter. A bit messy brew.

On tap at Solmu Pub, many thanks to mjs for sharing. Hazy warm golden body under a low white head, laces well. Mid-sweet malt-fruity nose. Fruity caramel flavours, hints of apricot and bread. Bittersweet ending. Just alright, not true to the style though. (Pub crawl with mjs, Helsinki 30.11.2017).
