Bottle. A hazy, orange-golden beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Slightly syrupy nose, on the fruity side, with some caramel and notes of oxidation. Fruit syrup and some oxidation in the flavor too, both sweet and fruity, with some yeasty notes and some bitterness towards the finish. Medium body, almost sticky. The finish has some fruits and yeast, as well as bitterness and a faint note of coffee. Not a very good beer. It seems interesting at first, but then the oxidation chimes in, and it doesn’t suit the beer. No, it wasn’t past BB-date. (090328)

Bottle. It pours a golden-ish copper body under a small, off-white head. I find butterscotch and caramel in the aroma, as well as something not so good I can’t remember what is, and can’t understand from my notes. At least it’s not much dubbel-ish. Caramel, some sourness, grains and some bitterness in the mouth. Medium, slightly astringent mouthfeel. Now, this is probably the shittiest dubbel I’ve had. After five unsuccesful attempts, I still wanna try their beers at the brewpub, as the bottles seems to be off before they enter the stores. This one included. (090116)
