Sampled at Meridian Pint’s 6th anniversary pours a watery black with a ring of off white head. Nose is cool, coffee beans and a little stale coffee but nice, malt, brown sugar, dark chocolate. Flavor has coffee beans and black pepper, malt, dark brown sugar, a little raisin. Full bodied, lightly boozy and dank. Very very well done.

Draft at Yard House-Springfield. Medium golden pour with small creamy white head. Soft floral hoppy nose, taste adds sbit of spiciness. Sharp, soft bitter hop bite makes for a gentle introduction to the style. A bit more than an APA.

Cask at Fair Winds. This is creamy as all get out! Barrel, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is the same. Very light boozy notes. Some minor green pepper notes, but otherwise a fantastic beer!!!

~10oz pour at the brewery. Poured a clear copper yellow color, maybe more orange. With a nice lightly off-white head. Aroma was a lot of solid hop resin notes, blast of floral notes, juicy citrus. Flavor was about the same, but include some really nice malt backing, which cuts through some of the bitterness, but doesn’t lead to a lot of sweet, cloyingly boozy notes. The alcohol is there, but is masked very well. Solid.

Pint pour at the brewery. Poured a nearly black color with a small, tan head. Aroma was dark chocolate notes, roasted malts. Lots of creamy malts, milk chocolate, with caramel malts, creamy oats. Tasty, easy to drink.
