Canned 7/16/23, drunk 3/25/24. Clear bright gold, brassy. Large, fluffy, white head, persistent. Fruity, hoppy, bright and peppery. Bit clovey. Yeah, somewhat acidic, bready, overly phenolic. Super peppery. There's excellent black pepper here, though a hint of clove I don't love. Past that, it's got excellent, pillowy malt with great depth, sweetness and attenuation. A lot to like here, for sure. There's no banana or bubble gum. Still, too clovey, even if only slightly. Hops are done well, though. Balanced bitterness and not overdone flavors.

Very cloudy golden coloured body with a super hazy tan head that starts at four centimetres and fades quite slowly. Aroma of funky yeast, grain, bread, alcohol, honey, dry herbs and a bit of flowers as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and very herbal flavours up front with a dry yeastie and bready flavour that is quite strong that shows some very light sugars, some honey and a big dose of flowers near the end. Aftertaste shows some pungent yeast, honey, grain and floral notes with a lot of depth and astringent flavours with a lot of complexity, especially towards the end. Overall, a lot of complexity and super dry flavours throughout with a lot of yeast notes, some floral aspects and a pleasant sweetness from honey and herbs and ends with an effervescent twang. Nice to try and worth trying to find, especially if you like saisons. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Trader Joe's in Falls Church, Virginia (Bailey's Crossroads) on 04-September-2017 for US$1,84 sampled at home in Washington on 16-January-2018.

Draft at Open City. Pours an unclear orange with an off white head and fairly strong, sticky lacing. Yeast, grains, and some peppery notes. Hay and funk. Some herbal notes. Tingly feel, funky and dry close. Seems like a combination that should work better it does. Overall/taste are not as good as the sum of the parts would suggest.
