Description
We built Fair Winds Brewing Company to provide fresh, local, flavorful craft beers to our neighbors and friends in Fairfax County and throughout the Commonwealth and the District of Columbia. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all; instead we believe that craft beer, like food, should complement the moment and add to the overall experience.

Our beers are born from inspiration, crafted with devotion and served with the excitement and anticipation one experiences when sharing their craft. We welcome you to fill your sails with Fair Winds.

Couple growlers from Dominion Wine and Beer pours a murky, brick red with some creamy, lacing, slightly beige head. Nose is interesting, big on malt and fall fruit, apple, pear, some caramel, some mild bread notes. Not a lot of Belgian notes. Flavor follows, quite malt, even on the verge of brown sugar, chewy malt, some candy, some mild berry, some fall fruit. Fairly full bodied, but mostly dry.

Nitro pour of this at the brewery. Poured a dark, black-brown color with some light ruby notes on the edges. Dark tan colored head. Aroma was light sweet notes of malt, plenty of roast, but not overly robust. Some light yeast notes. Flavor is actually a bit more ?tart? than I expected. Roast balances it out. Licorice finish.

Draft at Fair Winds brewery. Poured a dark, ruby brown color with a small off-white, light tan color. Aroma is light, semi-roasted malt notes with some light nutty notes. Flavor is light nutty peanut, with a touch of roast, and a touch of sweet milk chocolate. Creamy. Liked the clean, easy drinking.
