Keg at Whole Foods Ashburn. Murky brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, caramel, raisin, spice. The taste is dark fruits, toffee, caramel, earth, spice. Medium bodied, low carbonation, mild lingering bitterness.

5 oz pour on draft at Fair Winds. Murky amber brown with beige head. Aromas of light smoke and meaty bacon notes. Tastes of caramel, dark fruit, stone fruit, malt. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Couple growlers from Dominion Wine and Beer pours a murky, brick red with some creamy, lacing, slightly beige head. Nose is interesting, big on malt and fall fruit, apple, pear, some caramel, some mild bread notes. Not a lot of Belgian notes. Flavor follows, quite malt, even on the verge of brown sugar, chewy malt, some candy, some mild berry, some fall fruit. Fairly full bodied, but mostly dry.

Light floral but not a lot of character here. Dark maroon with OK head. Light sweet finish. Tap at smoke and barrel.

A few 10oz draft pours from a growler purchased at the brewery. Poured a deep ruby red color, with an off white head. Aroma was light malts, sweetness. I liken the malt and grain notes to an oatmeal raisin cookie, that distinct sweetness you get from the raisins. Drinkable.
