Bottle from The Drinkery, Derry, NH. Aroma is roasted malts, with strong chocolate and yeasty bread dough and hints of cereal, coffee, alcohol and caramel. Appearance is dark, dark brown--almost black with decent 1 - 1 1/2 finger width creamy light brown head that leaves similar lacing. Taste is more sweet than bitter but they trade off dominance. Palate is creamy texture but a little to the thin side of medium-bodied--I’d like mine to be more full. Carbonation is present but does not call attention to itself. Finish is more bitter than sweet and is dry and rather abrupt. Overall, a nice smelling and tasting beer without a ton of complexity but some nice features. A little thin for a Porter.

Bottle from North End Pours a murky straw with a good sized long lasting bone white head. Lemony, bready, earthy, spicy, and a little funky. Feels like a wit but bigger on the hops. I liked this beer, but didn’t enjoy the price point.

dark reddish orange. 1 finger head and fades to almost nothing. Aroma is a light bitterness, woody, some dark fruits. Really nice mouthfeel.Sweet overall. Cherry, peach, some other tropical fruits but just a little bit of booze. The bitterness is really intense. would be nice to revisit this in 2 years.

From my son in law, thanks! Bomber. Quality label. Color spins straw into pale. Pretty muddy haze, need a lighthouse. Gives ivory a run for the money. Has a pine freshness on the nose. Palate is somewhat creamy like velvet. Bite better than bark. Big rocky head. A wheat ale fer sure with its hop attitude.

Bottle from Craft Beer Cellar Nashua Deep tawny red with a decent sized tightly bubbled off white head that persists forever leaving lots of stickies on the sides of my glass. Light peppery spice with loads of brown sugary fruitiness in the aroma. A restrained molasses, vanilla, smoke, and light wood add incredible depth. The flavor is malty sweet with lots of light sugary, rum sugary, fruitiness. Spicy peeper and faint clove along with some light tannins provide a balance to the sweetness. Medium to thick body with a moderate level of carbonation, and a very light alcohol warmth. Wow thats good. I’m glad I decided to buy more than one of these bad boys, hell I might seek out more.

trade with mcox90 thanks!-22oz bottle-retaining tan head with trailing lace-dk copper/brown. A-sweet caramel/roasty-med malt, slight earthy. T-sweet caramel/roasty-med malt, slight earthy/minty hops. The hops keeps this from being cloying, but its still a sweet, malty beer. Next time John, remember to have a brownie or some fudge nearby. Oh, I have a few Hershey kisses…that works :-)

Pours deep brown into a shaker. Mocha head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Chocolate and caramel aromas. Dry with toast and caramel upfront turning chocolate in the medium length finish.

Brattleboro Food Coop, Brattleboro Vermont bomber: Pours near black with a tan head. Aroma is nice chocolate, robust malts, and hints of coffee. Taste is a bit bitter, but has a nice sweet chocolate undertone, along with enough roast to pack some punch. Very easy to drink, but not at all boring. I liked it.

Brattleboro Food Coop: pours copper with a nice white head. Aroma is some citrus, maybe a hint of pine, but overall not a powerful aroma. Taste is lightly bitter with hints of sweetness. Not a very powerful ipa but easy to drink.

22 oz. bottle purchased at the former Village Market in Somersworth, NH. Yep, the color is brown, thin lasting head in a shaker glass. Aroma is roasted nuts, caramel, hints of chocolate and mild earthy soil.
Flavor is spot on the aroma with a thicker body for the style, displaying a silky/ creamy/ velvet feeling over the tongue. Also shows a light hop character toward the finish. This hop is needed and a welcome addition, really for a ordinary brown ale, this is really nice drinking.
