Anchor is America’s first and oldest craft brewery, with roots dating back to the California gold rush. Today, our beers are handmade from an all-malt mash in our traditional copper brewhouse. Dezente Frucht in der Nase, optisch trüb, Fog halt. Im Trunk cremig, spritzig, Ananas, hinten harzig, ziemlich straight, aber nur durchschnittlich.

hazy golden colour, huge, dense white head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of piney, grapefruity, mrmalade or rather orange peel, slight peachy andbiscuity notes; perfectly balanced bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; great one!

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Clear amber body with a beige head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, lemon and banana bread. Flavour of marmalade, menthol and mashed strawberry. A sweet, hop-heavy Barley Wine. You can tell with just a sip that this is a big beer, absolutely packed full of malt and hops.

Bottle thanks to toby pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is citrus hops some grassy notes and wheat malts. Taste is more of the sweet cereal malts grassy citrus hops.

(Draught at Beer Tempel, Amsterdam, 26 Aug 2019) Golden amber colour with creamy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, orange peel, resin and apricots. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, orange peel, resin and a balanced herbal/resiny bitterness. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Bottle 0.355l, vintage 2018. Lightly cloudy, copper colored. AROMA- dark fruit jelly, dark berries, dark grapes, pine, Hašlerky. FLAVOR- dry, moderately bitter, Hašlerky, pine, dark fruit. Medium to fuller bodied. Very good.
