Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours deep brown with a frothy beige head. The nose has toasted biscuits, a little raw pine, fresh malts. Light-medium sweet flavor with mellow cocoa, chocolate, slight earth, toasted pine. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, some more toasted biscuit, milk chocolate, soft roast, light coffee. Tasty and easy drinking.

Bottle split at the Bespin cloud network, thanks to Bropey and the vikings, 15/12/15. Mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is light cocoa, spice, sweet notes, toffee, biscuit. Taste comprises light charr, touch of pine, cocoa powder, toasted brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Drinkable but lower end for the style.

Bottle thanks to Finn & Rune. It pours dark black with a medium beige head. The nose is bitter - sweet, perfumed, parma violets, earthy roast, umami, smoked meats and millionaires shortbread. The taste is pretty bitter, charred wood, burnt toast, spicy action, earth, caramel and cacao nibs with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. A bit charred and burnt on the taste. Aroma is intriguing. Ok.

330 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 5.2%, 18 IBU. Cloudy straw colour, moderate to low white head. Strong aroma of yeast, coriander, black pepper and orange peel. Fizzy mouthfeel. Yeasty flavour, notes of black pepper and coriander, the orange peel is more subdued. Too much yeast here.

33cl bottle from Vinmonpolet Storo, Oslo. Pours hazy brown with a moderate, beige head. Spicy aroma with lots of Christmassy notes, reminds me a little bit of gingerbread dough. Medium sweet with nice Christmassy flavours and a certain bitterness. Tasty brew for the season

Snasen liten sak dette. Kan absolutt anbefales. Anelse gjennomsiktig svart kropp med en fin beige top. Skummet legger seg greit nedover glasset. Mye svart malt, Bra humle aroma og smak. Fin fruktighet. Litt furu og en anelse kvae. Bra intensitet i aromaen. Noe ubalansert i smaken står det skrevet i min notatbok. Tja. Tror jeg kjøper en til jeg.

Bottle at home. Pours a deep reddish brown color with a big creamy beige head. Aroma of smoked meat, wood, leather, heather, forest floor and spices. The flavor is similar with more wood, leather, bread and sweet malt. Has a slick and soft mouth feel, medium body and a medium bitterness. Is well-balanced with a pleasant amount of smoke. Great brew.
