Tap @ Gustav Wied, Roskilde. Hazy very dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and dried fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and slightly acidic finish. Not sure if the acid was intended. 200720

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, dark amber with a lacing, off-white head. Subtle biscuity aroma. Thinnish, somewhat watery body, slight biscuity malt and a little brown sugar. Very subdued hops. Somewhat sloppy andunderwhelming - even for just an Amber Ale. 150620

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear brown with an orange hue and a smallish, off-white head. Pruney, plummy aroma - with some hints of aromatic hops as well. Surprisingly only a medium body, malty, rock candy, again pruney, dark dried fruit and nuts. A little perfumy. A little thin for a Doppelbock. Not sure I would've guessed that it's top-fermented if the label hadn't tld me. 150620

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a huge beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a small, off-white head. Sticky, sweet, buttery nose. Medium body, you manage to get some caramel notes before a strong and distinct lactic sourness comes rushing in. Clearly infected and totally undrinkable. Brew42 usually makes well crafted beers though. 090320
