We started brewing some 3 years ago on a plucky ½ barrel kit in Epping in Essex, where we developed our Craft Lager and Magic Spells IPA. Originally brewing for friend’s parties, mate’s bands and of course ourselves, we learned the ropes working with an array of different people. We still have the ½ barrel kit set up at our new site in East London for experimenting but the core beers are now brewed on a 10 barrel kit, whilst we upscale to meet demand.

Hazy gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent carbonation. Fluffy sweet malts, some creamy sweetness. Tangy tangerine, trace of mango and a little pine. Smooth finish. Tidy IPA, could do with a little more muscle.

Bright clear gold beer, good white head. Palate is light and has a decent minerally crispness. Clean malts, nice lager character, mild sweetness, trace of malt cream. A decent dose of bittering hop, some very light citric peel in there. Crisp clean finish. Mild bitter linger. Impressive. Clean, crisp and well balanced lager. Could session this, no probs!

Fruity nose. Clear pale amber colour, mid-size frothy white head, mostly diminishing, fair lacing. Aroma pale malts, tangerine, orange peel, floral hops. Taste smooth medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, grainy. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, husky and spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, well-made soft IPA.

330ml bottle. Crystal clear, yellow-ish golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Mellow, pale malty, minimally grainy and strawy aroma, rather plain hoppy overtones with a floral touch and very cautious hints of gooseberry. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, grassy-herbal-spicy and floral hoppy overtones, a touch of sage and gooseberry; oily texture, smooth, silky palate. Very clean, nicely hopped, top of the style.

Bottled 330ml (AbM)
Clear deep golden-amber color, small white head. Light earthy-piney hops in the nose. LIght-bodied. Piney hops, light resin, some odd off-flavours (from yeast?). Decent.

Bottle at home, 17/04/17. Golden amber with a well appointed off white head that retains well. Nose is tangerine, straw, toasted bread, grains, light floral notes, light hop tones. Taste comprises melon, light pine, orange pith, straw, bread dough, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close doused with hop bitterness. Passable IPA but rather pedestrian in this day and age of IPA’s in the UK.

Clear amber color, small steady white head and some lace. A bit oddly tropical fruity kiwi, passion fruit, candy aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Pale malts, tropical fruits, riped passion fruit and peach dominate, some citrus and then spicey hoppy finish. Quite sweetish fruity IPA. Tolerable.

Bottle thanks to cgarvieuk dregs run. Appearance - lovely amber with a decent fluffy head. Nose - dried and bitter red fruit. This is against a toffee and biscuit background. Taste - orange and toffee somehow beautifully intermingled. Palate - confirmed. Dry biscuit finish. Overall - I think we’re getting into ESB territory here.
