Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, decent bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry. Decent fine carbonation. Good dark chocolate malts. Spicy dark fruits. Mild esters. Touch of malt cream comes through on the smooth finish with emphasises the dark chocolate even more. Rich and tasty.

Sun Inn Summer Beer Fest, Kelvedon. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, bubbly white head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. The pale malts are quite grainy. Ripe orange and marmalade, trace of tangerine. Some candy fruits, candy berries. Floral bitterness. An odd duck but you get used to it.
