Bottle shared at RBESG 2014 Grand Tasting. Very dark brown to black color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly sweetish. some dark malts. Average to medium body and carbonation. -- Rerate August 7th 2016: Sampled @ ChrisO Pre-GBBF Shindig. Opaque black color, full sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, dark fruits, dark malts, soft roast, liquorice, bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Decent beer. 7-3-6-3-12=3.1.

Bottle - Roasted malts and a bit of chocolate. Jet black with a rich beige head. Bittersweet chocolate and pretty light on the palate.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Light haze on this gold beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light, airy and semi dry. Light malts, little floralness and lactose. Mild smoke. Super light citric hop. Trace of juicy tropical fruits. Light finish. Despite the unwelcome smoky note a pretty drinkable beer.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, semi dry and crisp. Mild dry pale malts, a little honey sweetness. Nice citrus and marmalade, touch of lemon. Light dry finish. Decent.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Mild dry dark malts. Good tangy dark chocolate and a whisper of coffee. Touch of spicy bubblegum ester before the dry finish. Dark chocolate lingers on. Not bad.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Light haze on this dark amber beer. Small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry, mild fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, some dark fruits and even a little dark chocolate. Light tangy dry finish. Strange one this, quite Porter like is some ways but coloured and classified like a bitter.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Almost clear dark brown beer, fair bubbly pale tan head. Light dry palate, modest fine carbonation. Mild but tangy dark malts, whisper of dark chocolate. Mild citric hop on the back end. Light dry finish. Fine.

[ As Round Tower Slipstream ].Clear dark black brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark roasted, ash, moderate hoppy, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, hoppy, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140417]
