Description
8 Wired is a micro brewing company based in Warkworth, New Zealand.

Our mission is to produce mind blowing beers that will wow craft beer lovers, excite fellow beer geeks and educate the mis-guided who still believe that "beer is just beer". If you want to come on this journey with us, please get in touch.

8 Wired Brewing is inspired by the legendary Kiwi can-do mentality and fellow craft brewers who have dared to challenge the masses and show us all that beer is no longer “just beer”! Known for producing “New world interpretations of old world styles” 8 Wired have multiple shades of very hoppy IPAs, Saisons, Porters and Stouts in their permanent line up and have the biggest barrel aged and sour program in the southern hemisphere.

After 5 years of contract brewing, eventually at 4 different breweries across New Zealand we now finally have our very own brewery (In Warkworth, North of Auckland) where we brew and package everything.

Can. Black with a brown head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of mocha, roast, singed dark sugars. Only medium bodied. Sweet at first but coffee and bitterness seem to dry things out. Delicate lightly roasted coffee flavour is lovely; roast and mildly spiced bitterness linger for ages. Hints of Indian sweets. Dangerously drinkable. Very nice, if slightly too polished for my tastes.

Can. Clear amber, white head. Floral, almost soapy with weeds and some citrus, light biscuit. Quite sweet and heavier than expected with sticky breadcrust before kumquat and weeds towards a bitter end that grips gradually. After a while it has that real Cascade bite. Good.

Can. A cloudy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, herbs, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, herbs, flowers, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.
