Description
We started brewing in 2011 and brewed very happily in our original shed in the grounds of The Beerhouse for 5 years until we outgrew the space. In 2016, we moved to a new shed with a shiny 12 barrel craft brewery.

9/3/2022. Draught sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours cloudy pale orange gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma of orange, mango, grapefruit, light spicy, pine and a little earthy. Moderate sweetness, quite heavy fruity bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Good.

Thanks to my sis and bruv in law for this one. Clear dark brown beer, decent pale tan head. Smooth palate, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, softish. Decent plummy fruits into smooth cocoa laden dark malts. A little chocolate icing on the end along with a whisper of esters. Like the Cocoa Blonde, I am pleasantly surprised how well put together this one is. Goes down easy

Thanks to my sis and bruv in law for this one. Bright clear gold beer, small off white head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has a good minerally crispness. Smooth malts, a light sweetness. A reasonable amount of citric hops for a beer of this style, mild but crisp pine and a touch of citric peel. The cocoa is well integrated. Very dark chocolate comes through on the very finish and leaves a mellow combo of bitterness from the citric peel and dark chocolate lingering on. A pleasant surprise. Thought this might be non descript but it's flavoursome and drinkable.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 06/02/22. Black with a big old lasting khaki head. Nose is roast malts, light coffee vibes, floral, charr, cocoa sprinkle, earthy hop. Taste comprises chocolate sprinkle, dark malts, light pine, toffee fudge, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced earthy hop bitterness. Not bad.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 03/02/22. Murky orange amber with a decent egg shell white cap that veers edgewards. Nose is bitter orange, trace of hop spice, pine needle, sticky grapefruit, stoned fruit esters. Taste comprises orange marmalade, mineral bite, red grapefruit, pine nip, raw mango, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with lightly astringent earthy hop bitterness. Ok IPA ... quite raw but carries a good tropical fruit twang and keeps a good level of bitterness.

330ml can shared with Finn at Brewshed Beerhouse. Beige head dissipating over a dark body with a ruby shade. Fair lacing. Rather sweet malty nose, chocolate scent. Taste of vanilla chocolate, a bit mealy. Prolonged ending. Nice, a bit unvaried though. (Bury St Edmunds 12.11.2021).

Keg, 1/3 pint at Brewshed Beerhouse. Stable white head blanketing the glassware, a wheat haze to a pale golden body. Soft smell of wheat and ripe fruit. Spiced fruity flavours with banana yeast. Wheat foamy ending, mid-sweet. Quite alright. (Bury St Edmunds 12.11.2021).

Keg, 1/3 pint at Brewshed Beerhouse. Filmy layer, jet black body, dotted spots on the glass. Plain roasted malty nose, hints of earthy chocolate. Chocolate malty flavours supported by moments of dark fruit. Smoothly roasted end, short. Pretty nice. (Bury St Edmunds 12.11.2021).
