Description
The Hop Shed is an award winning brewery based on a hop farm in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. We set up the brewery in a converted chicken shed here on the farm. This inspired the name of our brand and beers, which are all named after breeds of chickens.

7th Sep 2017: cask pint at the brewhouse. As the name suggests, this is a golden coloured beer, light gold in fact; the head a wispy white affair. Hop centric brew, as you'd expect from a hop farm brewery I suppose. Light floral and fruity hops in both the nose and flavour. Easy drinking session ale that is not going to test your senses too greatly, nice in the sun though.

7th Sep 2017: cask pint in the brewhouse. Golden pour, white head that lasted. Floral hops in the nose on a malty base, taste also hop forward and again on a malty backbone, finish more bitter than the initial taste.

7th Sep 2017. Gravity poured half-pint in a huge marque close to the brewhouse during a presentation and hop walk around 'Stocks Farm'. This is brewed with a new hop variety grown exclusively on the farm (apparently quadruple hopped). Clear golden pour, white topping. Tropical fruit in the nose and taste, slightly perfumed aroma within the fruits. Nice, easy drinking beer and the first firkin to run out of the ten (free, pour your own) beers on offer to me and about 400 brewers.

Cask pint at the brewery tap on 7th Sep 2017. More golden than 'copper', but clean and clear, decent white crown that lasted. Light fruity hop aroma, taste also slightly fruity (no coconut for me, unlike Rasmus40) in nature. Very pleasant for a 3.4% ABV bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Bell, St John’s Worcester 17/2/2017. Golden in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. Stone fruits, sweetish malts and a touch of leafy hop, before a moderately bitter finish. Pleasant drinking.
