Canned at Valhalla's going away party. Very dark brown body, clear, lasting off-white head. Light soft nutty aroma. Lean dry hazelnut taste, bit tart, mildly yeasty. Dunno, fine, really didn't impress and reading the others' ratings, I expected pure class.

Can from Beer52. It pours pretty much black with a decent khaki head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, charred vibes, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, rocky road, umami BD liquorice vibes. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, burnt toast, charred, liquorice, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, peppery spice, quite robust and toasty with a lingering dry / bitter finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice example of the style.

330ml can from Beer52 - Pours a deep dark brown colour with a small khaki head. The aroma is coffee, roasted malts and chocolate. A roasted and moderately bitter taste, roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee flavours with a roasted, earthy, bitter finish.
