Der schwarze Rabbi ist nicht tot. Am Bierfest Brünn 2021 wird er fleißig ausgeschenkt und war mein erstes tschechisches Dunkles seit langem. Es erinnert stark an ein Porter mit seinen nussig-herben Aromen. Dazu ein brauner feinporiger Schaum.... Aber es ist nicht süß, sondern überzeugt mit einer feinen Bitterkeit. Mit diesem Bier macht man nix falsch.

# 1824; 2/2020. Malty And cellar. Claer, gold. Malty, cellar, slimy on the tongue, low drinkability. Bad bohemian pils or beer in bad condition. 0,4 l, draught, multitap pub, Prague.

Tap at Pražský festival piva 2019. Hazy brown body, creamy, lasting head. Pleasant chocolate-malt aroma, not groundbreaking but okay. Nice, sweetish lean and clean chocolate-driven taste, lean maltiness. Quite pleasant, not thrilling but I would definitely drink it again.

Tap at Pražský festival piva 2019. Slightly hazy golden body. Creamy, oily, sweetish grainy aroma, hm, very little hop in evidence. The taste is a repeat of that, grainy, sweetish, mild herbal hoppy touches. Oh well, not terrible, not exciting.

Tap at Kampus fest. Misty brown body, off white head. Okay aroma, dark maltiness - classic, caramelly, with the same continuing on into the taste, clean dark malts, caramel, light banana. Very much overpriced if I remember correctly, but a good lager.

Tap at Slávnosti piva Trnava.12% version Pours hazy gold with white head. Low citruses on a nose. Fresh citruses, high carbonation. Good.

Tap at Žižkov na Žižkově. Murky yellow body, white head. Interesting aroma, citric, mildly phenolic, with light elder. The taste, however, is impressively fresh, flowery, with elder dominating everything - if there are esters and phenols given out by the yeast, they are underneath, but somehow it works, as a slightly less sweet, better-bodied and carbonated elderflower juice. What can I say, I'm a sucker for elderflowers, and I liked them in this form, while my friend found the thing somewhat too sweet.

Bottle, thanks Milan! Hazy ochre body, white head. Sweetish aroma, herbal tea mostly, quite full. Okay taste, but shows age, raisins and herbal tea mostly. To be rerated as soon as possible fresh!

Bottle 0.5l. Hazy, gold colored. AROMA- New England style, tropical fruit, citrusy, mango, pineapple, candied fruit, floral. FLAVOR- dry, very bitter, harsh, too strong floral tones, fruit just on background. Medium bodied.
